NEW COUCHES!

Hooray for not sitting on the floor anymore! The family room couches have arrived and we are thrilled! They are beautiful and so comfy. They are cream (which could be a dangerous choice) but very easy to clean. Graham liked them so much that he decided he wanted to get as close as possible! I am imagining some hide and seek games under these. =)

Weekend in Indy...

Oooo I just love 7 month old Graham! He is so squirmy and yummy- I could eat that boy. I think I try to eat his cheeks daily. =) He is doing a lot of new things...eating puffs, Baby Mum Mum, fresh fruit, spinning in circles on his belly, rolling ALL over the place, and belly laughing! He also loves to stand holding onto our fingers. He's one strong baby.

I've been SLOW at updating the blog, so here is a bunch of stuff squished into one entry!

*Graham loves eating fresh fruit in his mesh feeder. He's so big. Do you like his handtowel bib?

We headed up to Indy last weekend to do a million things, but it was a GREAT weekend. Friday we visited the dental school, Prairie Trace to get all my teacher boxes, and then a fun night at the Rockwoods with Life Group 33! Saturday was spent with Brooke, Kurt, and Corbin. SADLY i don't have any pics with them or our other life group friends!!! We loved seeing everyone at BW3's. We sure do miss our Indy friends. It was wonderful to be together again. Here are all the new Mommies with their sweet babes.

Liz, Raeann, and I had a cake that said "good things happen in 3's" to announce that Raeann and I were pregnant last spring. Liz had already announced it- here are the products of those pregnancies! Madeline, Gavin and Graham. Praise God for his little miracles.

Graham sleeping in his "new" Jeep jogging stroller at our church picnic. It was a big weekend. =)

More to come later... =)

"Roe Roe Roe" Your Boat

Last weekend Jordan and Bethany Roe came to visit us in Evansville. We had fun showing off our new home and having some good quality time with them. It's fun to watch them love on our sweet Graham. They will be amazing parents someday! We got to eat at some favorite Eville restaurants and Bethany cooked us up a yummy dinner. Zach and Joy came over both nights and we had so much fun! Graham was being his usual chatty self and wanted to show off his vocal abilities so he made sure they could hear him. He's the loudest child I know! We could be in trouble once this kid really learns how to talk. For now though, we'll settle for Da-Da and Blah-Blah and a few other Indian sounding combos that spur me into singing Tiger Lily songs from Peter Pan. Welcome to our random world! =) Thanks for visiting us Jordan and Bethany! We owe you a visit to Nashville.

Happy 7 Months!

My favorite...

Alas, my baby is 7 months old! Boy is 7 months a FUN age!!! Graham officially turned 7 months old today (even though we've been calling him that for a week now). Every stranger always guesses that he's at least 9 months old- nope. He's just our big boy. =) He is a smiley, happy fella although in the past week or so he has developed a little "stranger danger" sense. He is becoming a little clingy to Mommy and Daddy when he's around new people. Today we had over a lot of family and Graham was a little overwhelmed, but warmed up after a bit. He's the happiest baby and I want everyone to see that, but today he was a little leary of new people. He also spent an hour in the church nursery this evening and he was not a happy camper. Junior high girls and their mom were working in the nursery and he was the only baby besides a 3 week old, so he got PLENTY of attention. Probably too much of it- Graham was all sniffles when we picked him up. :( Oh well! That boy will get used to the nursery eventually. We ended the evening at Red Robin and he was back to being all smiles. One of his newest things is letting me put a straw in his mouth with a teeny bit of juice or water. He loves it!!! He could do this the whole dinner time. Graham fell asleep in the car on the way home. I still needed to put his pjs on and feed him so he woke up a little bit. The past 2 nights he has been SO GIGGLY while getting his jammies on. Everything becomes funny to him- it's like he's slap happy. So fun. It makes me not want to put him to bed! I love who Graham is becoming and I love being his Mommy. "Graham's Mommy" is a title I wear proudly!!!

Sweet cheeks!!!

On Tuesday I got a wonderful phone call from Brooke that said she and Corbin were coming to visit! Hooray! We had a good time playing together and watching our fun boys be together. Corbin loved playing outside and with Adam's drum. Corbin liked Graham and kept saying "Gam's house". So cute.

Here is a picture we will show them someday when they are all grown up. =)

Those are two handsome fellas!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Barkley Lake!

We had a great weekend at Barkley Lake with the Hubert family. Graham got to (finally) meet Uncle Luke (Laura's husband) and we had fun hanging out as a family.

We stayed at a Bed and Breakfast, and I would like to hire Hopie to come home and cook me breakfast each day. It was sooo tasty. Graham was a great little boy (as usual) for the vacation. He took his morning nap at the Bed and Breakfast and then his other naps out on the boat. If he got fussy then we just drove the boat a few laps around the lake and he was out.

The only sad part of the weekend was that it rained and the fireworks were canceled. Boo. I love the big fireworks. I was wondering what Graham would think of them. We'll just wait until next year- he'll probably handle them better anyway. Well- a big thanks to Mimi and Pop for the great weekend and all of the yummy food. We love spending time with you and watching you love on our sweet Graham. Graham is one lucky boy-so much love coming his way!

Greetings from Evansville!

Don't worry...we are alive and well! WHEW is all I have to say about the past 2 weeks of moving from Durham NC to Evansville IN! It feels SO good to have a house (even one without couches) and we love our neighborhood. I think God has this house picked out special for us- we have some great neighbors and tons of super cute little kids. Adam already broke out the light saber last night and now he's the coolest "dad" on the block. I can't even begin to tell you everything that went on the past 2 weeks so here is my best at a run down:
: on Saturday June 2oth Graham and I flew to IN and Adam and our fathers drove the cars and truck. We were emotionally and physically spent by the time we flopped into bed.
: on Sun the 21st (father's day!) we unloaded the truck and sweat like little pigs in the Indiana humidity. It was a week of sweating, really. =)
:Then we spent the next 3 days painting our place and slowly unpacking. We stayed at my parents house for about 5 nights and we were so glad to be able to escape to a clean bed.
:Bought furniture, returned furniture, bought mattress, switched out mattress...and the list goes on!
:On June 25th we finally spent the first night in our new house! It was exciting to wake up for the first time in our new house on our 5 year wedding anniversary! It wasn't the most elaborate anniversary, but exciting still the same as we begin our lives here again. The Huberts babysat Graham and Adam and I enjoyed some good old G.D. Ritzy's and a movie. Fun, fun! We forgot what it was like to go on a date. More of those to come, for sure. =)
: It's so much work moving into a home but so much more fun than an apt! I LOVE MY GARAGE. We have it cleaned up enough to fit my car in it. A Garage is a luxury I hope I never take for granted. =) Kittygirl is adjusting nicely to the home and I think she likes having stairs to run up and down.
: I have been HORRIBLE about taking pictures and promise to be better. We had to find our camera cord to upload pics on our computer and our memory card was full. Grrr. So...I wish I had pics of us moving and unpacking, but I slacked. So here are a few to enjoy until I get myself back together!
:We've had fun family dinners, a good time
:We are off to spend the 4th with the Hubert family at Barkley Lake. Fun times!!!!

(I miss you friends and family in NC!!!)
