Cute.

No pics, just 3 cute things I wanted to jot down...and I realize they might just be cute to me! But I wanted to document some sweet things since I've been slacking on blogging lately...

While fixing (or taming) Graham's hair this morning he turned around and started to play with my necklace. He said, "pretty necklace", "balls" (because it had these 2 pewter balls on it), and then matter of factly declared, "Like it." I said, "you like Mama's necklace?" and he replied, "yes". =) Already making his Mama feel special. He also told me my hair was "pretty" the other day.

Yesterday we spent a good hour or two in the nursery organizing baby clothes 0-3 months and folding and hanging it all up in the closet. Baby brother has a lot of clothes- baby sister, not so much...yet. =) Anyways, I showed Graham some of the baby clothes and was telling him they were so cute. Later that night he was playing in his room and came running out with one of baby sister's outfit, hat, and booties, and he said in his highest pitch voice, "SO CUTE! Baby Sister!" I think Graham is getting excited!!! He talks about brother and sister now and prays for them at dinner and bedtime.

This morning on the way to Bible Study at church, Graham asked for some juice. I brought milk instead of juice so I said, "Buddy, Mommy brought you milk instead of juice." Usually I would say sorry, but I didn't today and he noticed. He took the cup, looked at it, and said, "Sorry. No Juice. Just milk." Sometimes this would have caused a fit, but today he just told himself how it was. =)

fall fun with mommy

This boy melts my heart. Simple smiles and mommy/son dates are pretty special. Trying to cherish my alone time with my first baby love.

No, no. I do it.

My big boy has reached 22 months and what was the first thing I heard??? "No, no. I do it." Yes, we have entered (or should I say) continued into the major independent phase. He's a smart boy and I'm glad he wants to be more independent, but it definitely requires more patience on my side. No one dares put him in his high chair, he must climb. He wants to climb into the van, climb on the lawn mower, climb up the stairs and jump back down (scary) and so much more. This past month he learned how to open the doors in our house that have round door knobs so now he can get into pretty much anything he wants. That boy is too tall...Time to childproof the round knobs!

This past month he started putting his phrases into complete sentences. His first sentence was "I want some bubbles". Now it's I want this and I want that for everything! Another thing that cracks me up is he is in love with my chapstick. He calls it "mastick" and likes to lick it. We've discussed over and over how it is for lips and not tongues, but he usually gets a good lick in there before I can swipe it from him. He's into coloring more, loves anything that has to do with hoops, balls, or sports in general, and Sesame Street. He is pretty well balanced with his love for music, sports, and trucks. He's all boy and that pleases his Daddy to no end. Parenting does become more tricky as each month passes and more discipline is required, but we are learning consistency is the key and WE WILL WIN! Meltdowns are a daily occurence that wear me out. Being pregnant with twins and having a rambuncious toddler sure is tiring. Adam is such a wonderful daddy and helper to me. I have no complaints about that! Thanks for stepping up to the plate. Gone are the days when he comes home and just gets to relax. =)

Here are some pics from this past month...
25 weeks

The guest room is painted...and the big boy furniture arrived! Graham's big boy room is slowly but surely coming together. Adam and Graham had so much fun putting this bed together. Graham LOVES to help his Daddy and had many jobs...hold the tools, pass out the screws, make sure someone can crawl under the bed...things like that.

Helpin'

Important work going on here with us men, Mommy.

Hmmm...what can I "help" with next. =)

Looking sporty and ready for church!

Have a great day everyone!!!
