New Things

Well, a "new" thing for this boy is that we are downsizing the amount of time he is allowed to have his passy. He wanted it a lot when he was sick and he got used to having it whenever he wanted. Now we are back down to just sleeping or when in a restaurant. So far so good! During the daytime he asks for his passy outside his crib, so I ask him if he wants to go night-night and he says no and gives up on the passy until naptime. =)

Graham went to Ezra's first birthday party a week or so ago and he loved the Cozy Coupe car he got for his birthday! My parents dug our old one out of their attic and are keeping it at their house for fun, so we decided Graham would love to have a car of his own here at home.

It was a big hit! He's riding it all over the house right now until it gets warm enough to be able to go outside more. He is ADDICTED to being outside since this is his first season of being able to walk around outside. The grass fascinates him. =)

Gigi celebrated her birthday with us by going to Nagasaki for dinner and then had some donut bank cake at our house the next day. Yum!

Happy birthday Gigi! I love you!

Gigi also brought over an antique cabinet that I used to play with at my grandparents house. It is full of antique toy plates, utensils, and random kitchen items (including rubber fries and onion rings). He loves it! We think we will be finding these items all over the house soon. Although, he is very into cleaning and picking things up, so hopefully he will be tidy with his kitchen!

We love watching our little boy play and discover new things. He is such a curious little person. I am positive that he will continue to surprise us with his personality and love for funny things.
Graham turned 15 months old on the 11th and he seems like he is every bit toddler now. He attempts to try and dress himself, eat with a fork and spoon, brush his hair and teeth, and do most everything we normally do for him. He likes to say "truck, dirt, and clock" this week. He is NOT a fan of getting his diaper changed. Just doesn't like to be tied down and not playing. He is also funny about baths- he really enjoys them but doesn't really like his hair being washed. So once that part is over, all is well. The excitement he shows over building towers, eating blueberries, playing outside, and reading books is contagious! He can bring me joy like no other. He can also bring moments of frustration as he lays on the floor kicking his legs and crying because I won't let him play in the rain outside. He's a passionate kid and I think that translates into extremes on both ends. So much joy and so much drama. =) BUT I love my little mister with a fierceness that grows and grows and thank God for him everyday!

Oh my goodness he and his Aunt Becky share so much in common...I love that passion!! :) Definitely brings back memories thinking of those plastic/rubbery fries and onion rings. We played with that for hours. And the little red car...ya know the garage is always a great place for that thing too. haha!! Love you and miss you guys so much!
