Back from Evansville! 4 mo 3 wks old

I haven't written in so long because we went to Evansville for 8 days!!! My Grahamster is all grown up too!!! At least he looks that way to me. He left NC as a baby and now he's...well a bigger baby! =) Everyday I go in and get him up in the morning and just stare at him and think, "Wow, he's bigger." And he probably is at the rate he is growing, but he just is so much more aware and responsive now! He's so much better at reaching and grabbing toys and things in front of him. He gets this determined look on his face as he spots something he wants and goes for it. When getting his diaper changed, he is determined to eat my watch or my arm= either is fine with him. He pulls and pulls and what a strong boy he is! Last night we spiked his hair into a mohawk. It's getting longer but only on the top! haha! We say as he grows new hair, Daddy loses his hair. It's a fair trade. =) We also tried Rice Cereal again. The first few faces were hilarious, but he got the hang of it. I think we will make cereal part of our dinner routine for a while. =) This morning I also let Graham suck on my finger and I got a peak into his mouth and spotted 2 little white tooth buds under his gums. Teething is just around the corner! Maybe that's why he woke up 7 times 2 nights ago!!! Last night it was only once- phew!

I won't bore you with the weekly details of our visit to Evansville, but here are the highlights!
*Spending the first half of the week with Mimi and Pop and Uncle David.
*Visiting Daddy at the office where Daddy will begin working in late June! Future Dentist?
*Visiting with Great Grandparents! I forgot to take pictures :(
*Visiting with Evansville friends galore! This is Graham's buddy-to-be Drake Blackard. Drake will be 2 this summer and he weighs only 4 pds more than Graham!!! He's so cute. Also, visiting with our good Indy friends Brad and Emily Rockwood. Thank you Brad and Emily for driving down from Indy for a visit! =) Once again, forgot to take pictures :(. We look forward to living only 3 hrs away!
*Spending the second half of the week with Gigi and Grandpa!
*Exploring our NEW HOUSE!!! We had so much fun planning and measuring and thinking that this house will actually be ours soon.
*Shopping for furniture!
*And I got sick! BOO! I hate being sick and I got stuck with a spring cold- don't worry- no Swine Flu for me! I hated being sick in Evansville, but it didn't stop us from running errands and going out to eat.
*First commercial plane ride! Graham was a gem 3 out of the 4 flights. On the last flight from Cinn to RDU, Graham had a minor meltdown from being overly tired! He eventually gave in to sleep on the way down. Go figure. =) Graham and I fly again BY OURSELVES in June back to IN. That should be interesting!
*Graham also got to do something he has never been allowed to do before...take a brief nap in bed with Mommy and Daddy! He kept waking up too early for us, so I got him and put him in bed one morning and Walah! It was like magic- that baby went right back to sleep until a decent hour of 7:00am. =)
*Overall, it was a great visit and we are looking forward to living in our new house back in our hometown. It will be bittersweet leaving NC as we have lots of family and friends that we will be sad to leave. There truly is a season for everything and I'm glad God allowed us a season in NC.

Hi Sarah! My husband and I are from Evansville and my husband is a cousin of Brad Rockwoods. I am also friends with Erin Roe Herrenbruck and saw you guys had a blog so I checked it out. I wanted to say that Graham is absolutely adorable! Love his baby blues! We have a little boy Cooper who is a little over 7 months. Congrats on your new house in Evansville. Just thought I would say hello :)

So much fun! Looks like you are having a blast! He IS getting so big and I am diggin' the mowhawk. Ok, I am feeling HORRIBLE b/c I think you wrote me about when we introduced what food and now I can't remember what it said and I'm just feeling bad about it. Can you write me again with the question or CALL ME ANYTIME of course! Glad to see that Jessica posted on your blog. Her husband is cousins with the Rockwoods also, I don't know if she read that part of your post.
